Dorothy L. Walsh, 91, of Viewcrest, formerly of Mount Royal Pines III, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at Viewcrest, surrounded by her family.
Dorothy L. Walsh, 91, of Viewcrest, formerly of Mount Royal Pines III, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at Viewcrest, surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born March 11, 1921 in Jump River, Wis., to Rev. Otto and Emart Fillinger.
They moved to the Milacs area and they eventually moved to Farmington, where Dorothy graduated from High School and where she met James Walsh and they were married on Jan. 4, 1939.
Dorothy loved and was up on all sports and loved the Twins. She played the Organ and loved to play cards, but most of all Dorothy loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Emart; her husband, James who died in 1998; siblings, Gordon and Kathy.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Timothy (Cheryl) Walsh, Judy Shilts and Steve (Mary) Walsh; grandchildren, Shelly, David, Steve, Jeff, Katie, Kevin, Brad and Jake; many great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Viewcrest and Mount Royal Pines III for their loving care of Dorothy.
VISITATION: 12 Noon Monday with services at 1 p.m. in the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd St. Duluth, (218) 727-3555.
