Patricia Jean Sorenson, 87, of Duluth, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia Jean Sorenson, 87, of Duluth, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Thief River Falls, Minn., on Feb. 27, 1925 to Patrick and Mary Roark.
Pat married Jack Sorenson on June 11, 1945 in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Warren, Minn.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 71 and a former member of the West Duluth Moose. Pat loved fishing, snowmobiling, music and sitting on the swing at Island Lake reading her favorite book.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and four sisters.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Jack; her children, Jackie Underferth of Prior Lake, Minn., Kathy Anderson of Hermantown, Steven (Gloria) Sorenson of Island Lake, Patti (Ronald) McPhail of Cromwell and Maribeth Brooks of Cross Lake, Minn.; two special nieces, Sue Vaughn and Marilyn Wright both of California; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; special friends, John and Sylvia Jugasek of Twig; many family members in northwestern Minnesota.
A special thanks to Dr. Craig Gilbertson and the staff at St. Luke’s Hospice for their wonderful care.
