GENEVIEVE A. DONNELL

Genevieve A. Donnell, 88, Grand Rapids, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 in the Grand Village, Grand Rapids.

Born Sept. 23, 1924 in Brook Park, Minn., she was the daughter of Lloyd and Olive (Ellis) Erickson.

Genevieve was a home maker, a devoted mother and grandmother, lived most of her life in the Grand Rapids area, and was married to Peter S. Donnell.

Her parents; her husband, Peter S. Donnell; a grandson, Peter; sisters, Pauline Erickson and Audrey Tomberlin; and a brother, Edwin “Smiley” Erickson preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Kay (Alan) Zika of Orr, Minn., Dennis (Mary) Donnell of Orange City, Fla., Marlene (Joe) Bocinsky, Alvin (Teresa) Donnell, and Jenine (Tim) Oakley, all of Grand Rapids; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 20 great great grandchildren.

VISITATION: 12 Noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Interment will be at the Itasca - Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids. To leave an on line condolence message, go to petersonfuneralchapelofcoleraine.com.
