Ann Luke, 80, of Hermantown, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

Ann Luke, 80, of Hermantown, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

She was born Jan. 12, 1932 in Kinney, Minn., to Peter and Helen (Kasovac) Skarich. She had been a Duluth and Hermantown resident since the mid 1950’s.

Ann worked as a waitress and later as a home health aide. She was a member of St. Basil’s Serbian Orthodox Church in Chisholm. She enjoyed cooking her Serbian traditional foods and sharing it with others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Kenneth G. on Feb. 17, 2011.

She is survived by her son Peter (Wendy Borseth) Luke of Hermantown; grandchildren Alicia Christiansen-Borseth, Nolan Christiansen-Borseth and Samantha Ann Luke Borseth; two sisters Mildred (John) Mukavetz of Chandler, Ariz., and Beverly Campbell of St. Paul; numerous nieces and nephews.

SERVICE: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 in St. Basil’s Serbian Orthodox Church in Chisholm, with Fr. Radomir Plavsic officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service in the church on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
