Allan Currie, 80, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 in Sebastian.
Allan Francis Currie, 80, of Sebastian, Florida, died Saturday, August 18, 2012. He was born March 30, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Allen R. and Margaret Currie. Allan served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Mildred Butkiewicz on May 25, 1972 in Lantana, Florida.
He loved spending time at the beach and the pool.
Allan is survived by his wife, Mildred Butkiewicz Currie, of Sebastian; sisters, Carol Francis and Margaret (Joe) Knajenke, both of Detroit; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, August 31, 2012 in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with military honors by Post 379 Honor Guard. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, MN.
