SANDRA KAYE BISSELL

Sandra Kaye Bissell, 58, of Knife River, Minn. went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July. 29, 2012

Sandra Kaye Bissell, 58, of Knife River, Minn., went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July. 29, 2012 in the presence of her loving family while spending her last moments in this life smiling and playing with her grandchildren.

Sandra Kaye Bissell was born May 5, 1954, in Duluth, the daughter of Charles and Jenny Heinzen and grew up in Silver Bay.

Sandra loved her Savior and her family. She will be remembered fondly by us all for her love and interest for each person she met and also her love of the Packers!

She is survived by her husband, Tad and their daughter Kaitlyn; her four daughters Amanda Birkeland-Sanchez (Alonso), Alison Cone (James), Natalie Gustafson (Derek), and Stephanie Richards; her three grandchildren Tristen and Brooklyn Cone, and Landon Gustafson; her three stepchildren Justin, Seth and Heather who is mother to grandson Acuzio. Sandy has three sisters, many nieces and nephews and other family and friends who will miss her greatly.

Sandy wanted to be sure that she was not remembered as having "fought" cancer and rather that she was known for being at peace and trusting of the Lord's plan in her illness.

Instead of gifts or money Sandy would have wanted anyone choosing to remember her in this way to do so by making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of her father at www.alz.org

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Duluth. There will be a visitation one hour prior.

Karen B Denver, CO I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful woman. I wish I was able to be there to give you all hugs of strength and support. I believe my father said it best "People do die, love never does!" I will be praying for strength to get you through this difficult time. Love always, Karen
