Lois Fern Kent, 82, was a long time resident of Duluth.
Lois Fern Kent, 82, was a long time resident of Duluth. She had retired to Lake Worth, Fla., where she passed away peacefully under Hospice care in hospital, Atlantis, Fla., July 2, 2012.
Lois was born Jan. 29, 1930 in Rock Springs, Wyo. She was the only child of Wayne and Lila Johnson of Astoria, Ore.
Lois had a fulfilling life raising a family and working alongside her husband in the family restaurant. James E. Kent and Lois owned West End A&W, currently operated as A&Dubs Drive-In, from 1959 to 1988.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband James in 1997.
Lois is survived by her sons Steven (Jackie), Reverend David (Susan), Ronald (Elisabeth); and daughters Christine (Art) Becker, Sandra (Syl) Hantz; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Lois will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: will be held at a later date when we will honor her loving and generous heart. The family asks that a memorial donation be made to the local Hospice organization.

David: Of your siblings, you were the one I really knew, sharing rides to the Lincoln pool and other activities along with my son, Gary. May God comfort you and all of your family in this great loss.
