Eleanor F. "Woodie" Carlson, 78, of Duluth, died Tuesday June 19, 2012, in Lakeshore Lutheran Home.
Eleanor F. "Woodie" Carlson, 78, of Duluth, died Tuesday June 19, 2012, in Lakeshore Lutheran Home.
Eleanor was born in Duluth on January 15, 1934 to Sidney and Florence Woods.
Eleanor graduated from Denfeld High School. She had worked at Security Jewelers, and was Co-Owner and Bookkeeper for Carlson Concrete Products.
Eleanor enjoyed doing cross-word puzzles, traveling, shopping, and time spent with her family.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson Nicholas Schendel.
Eleanor is survived by her husband Walter; son Michael; daughters Kathy, Linda, and Cheryl all of Duluth; brother Russell (Joanne) Woods of Duluth; sister Mary (Bob) Gerlach of Baxter, Minn; grandchildren Brian (Sara), Nathan, and Melissa Rehbein, Ali Carlson, Justin Schendel, Sharon Carlson, and Darwin Carlson; great-grandchildren William and Ryan Rehbein; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday June 23, 2012 at Sunrise Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the donors choice.

Walt, Kathy, Mike, Linda and Cheryl and families; so sorry to hear of the passing of Woodie. She was a good friend to me and many. Her family always came first.
