Eldon "Al" Paul Nolting, 72, died May 20, 2012.
Al was born Sept. 14, 1939 in Tripoli, IA to Frederick and Ida (Sauerbrei) Nolting.
Al was a computer engineer for many years for all of the companies that merged over the years and became Unisys. For his last 10 years of employment, Al worked for the Federal Bankruptcy Court in Minnesota. He retired December 31, 2003.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Warren; sisters Edith and Elaine; and first wife Connie (Schultz).
Al is survived by his wife Patricia (Blakeney); children and stepchildren Nick (Cheryl) Nolting, Natalie Mercer (Bryce), Lita (Rick) Brown, Neal Nolting (Angie), Reid (Terry) Lamppa, Kerry (Holly) Lamppa, Stacey Lamppa, Stefanie (Dan) Olson, and Darcie (Robert) Clark; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers Fred (Wilma) Nolting, Wendell (Janice) Nolting; sister Eunice (Robert) Lee; and various nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Al's family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at St. Luke's Hospital and Hospice Unit for making Al's last 12 days as comfortable as possible.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave Duluth with a visitation at 2 p.m. A burial service will be held on June 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Garden of Memories, Cedar Falls, Iowa.
