PATRICIA L. MELLAN

Patricia L. Mellan, 81, longtime Trout Lake area resident, died Friday, June 1, 2012 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Duluth.

Born August 11, 1930 in Washington, she was the daughter of Elmer J. and Sadie Eva (Winger) McKinney. Pat lived over 60 years in the Trout Lake area and was married to Melvin Mellan on January 27, 1952 in Walker, MN. She was a homemaker, had been a cook at the Trout Lake School, and had been a member of the Greenway Snowmobile Club. Pat was an avid gardener and loved to sew teddy bears.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth and Wallace McKinney; sisters, Doris Dickenson, Jessie Lancaster and Ardella McKinney.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Melvin; and two sisters, Leona Blum of the Twin Cities and Fran John of Omak, WA.
