VIOLA VIOLET HENDRICKS

Viola Violet Hendricks, 87, of Duluth passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at Essentia Health/St. Marys Medical Center.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1924 in Duluth.

Viola worked at Surf and Sand Nursing Home on Park Point. She was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother. She loved flowers, baking, working on her puzzle books and spending time with her family. In 2011 she reached an exciting turning point; she gave her life to Christ at St. Mark Church by Pastor Stacy Smith.

Viola was preceded in death by her first husband, Nolan Abernathy; second husband, Chester Hendricks; mother and father, Rose and William Harris; siblings Dorothy and Jess.

She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Zylka; five children, Delores, Chris, (Vern), Jackie (Jack), Helen and Doug (Tami); 23 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service Thursday, May 3 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave. 218-624-5200.
