Kim Kucinski, 57, from Superior, Wis., left us on Thursday morning, March 22, following a brief but hopeful and heroic battle with Acute Lukemia.
Kim was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We will remember Kim's laughter and joy, his unending love for his family and friends, his enjoyment of time at the cabin, fishing, tinkering with his cars, travels "up the shore" his 30+ years at City of Duluth Water and Gas and his hope, quiet strength and determination as he fought his cancer.
Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Virginia Kucinski.
He will be forever loved and missed by his wife, best friend and soul mate, Nancy Kucinski; his loving children, Angela (Tommy) Enger and Trisha, Brittany, Nate Kucinski; his dear grandchildren Destiny, McKinzee, Lillian, Taylor, Alex, Avery and Jack; his step-children, David and Adam Ready and Kristin (Matt) Bowers and his siblings, Joe Kucinski, Dian (Dale) Hanson, Barbara Kivisto and Rick (Ann) Kucinski; special aunt and uncle, Bert (Jessie) Westman; many nieces, nephews and special dog Homer.
We thank our families and friends for their love, care and concern and Dr. Lalich, St. Mary's Oncology staff and Home Hospice for their wonderful and supportive care. Your kindness will always be remembered by Kim's family.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in the Sunrise Funeral Home with a reception following. Entombment will be private.
