Irmgard Elizabeth Madsen, 95, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, in Moose Lake.
Irmgard was born May 5, 1916, in Lester Prairie, Minn., to Fred and Louise Ehlen.
She married Stanley Madsen in 1942 and lived in Sandstone before moving to Moose Lake.
Immy worked as a licensed practical nurse at Moose Lake State Hospital until her retirement.
Immy enjoyed her flower gardens, knitting and being with family. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, The Esther Circle, American Legion Auxiliary, State Volunteer Council, and the Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club.
Immy was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, and their son, Jim.
She is survived by son Jerry Madsen; daughter Judy (Kevin) Bergquist; grandchildren Jodie (Terry) Bird, Kirsten (Scott) Gabriel, Jon Madsen, Peter (Brigitta) Bergquist, Zane Madsen and Zachary Madsen; great-grandchildren Jeremy, Allison, Ethan, Isaac and Asher; and special nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Oakview Assisted Living for their wonderful care over the past few months.
VISITATION: 1 until the 2 p.m. memorial service Tuesday, Feb. 28, in Hope Lutheran Church in Moose Lake. Services entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota, (218) 624-5200.
