James L. Krikelas Jr., 47, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at his home in Duluth. Services were held Thursday. Arrangements were handled by the Cremation Society of Minnesota.

Martin Edward Kromschroeder, 40

Lifelong Duluthian Martin Edward Kromschroeder, 40, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, as the result of a tragic ATV accident at the family cabin. Services were held Friday. Arrangements were handled by the Cremation Society of Minnesota.

Jeanette E. LaPlante, 83

Jeanette E. LaPlante, 83, of Duluth, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Chris Jensen Health Center. Services were held Monday. Arrangements were handled by Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Dixie J. Larson, 58

Dixie J. Larson, 58, of Two Harbors, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 624-5200.

Gladys M. Norbeck Newman, of Duluth, died Saturday, June 13, 2009. Per Gladys’ request, there will be no funeral service. Arrangements were handled by Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 624-1059.

Ruth Pearl Paul, 86, of Duluth, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Solway Serenity Acres. Services were held Friday. Arrangements were handled by Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Ellen N. Sall, 99

Ellen N. Sall, 99, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Mt. Iron, Minn. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 410 N. Arlington Ave. Burial will take place in Melrude Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 624-5050.

Evelyn Vivian (Olson) Wick, 87

Evelyn Vivian (Olson) Wick, 87, of Wabasha, Minn., died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Care Center in Wabasha. Funeral services were Friday, with interment in Twig Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home.
