The Duluth Denfeld Bantam B team won three straight games to claim first place in the North Region tourney this past weekend in Crookston, Minn. In Friday night’s first game, the Hunters easily handled Crookston 10-0. In Saturday’s semifinal against Grand Rapids, with the game tied midway through the third
period, Denfeld’s Jacob Herold scored on the power play to propel the team to a 4-3 victory. In Sunday’s championship game, Denfeld defeated International Falls 4-2. Scoring for the Hunters were Herold, Zane Peterson, Easton Stenson and Joffet Husby. The team now advances to the Minnesota State Bantam B tournament in Woodbury on March 15-17.
