An art display at Northland College commemorates Bjorn Norgaard, a 2010 graduate who died after being struck by a vehicle on Lake Superior two years ago. "The blackened or burnt look of all three pieces of the installation is to evoke the thought of the fragility of life," said Anna Mahnke, the artist and Norgaard's cousin.
