Anya Russom, who works at the Lake Superior Zoo, thanks Kris Kathmann for offering to help shovel her out. Russom’s car got stuck in heavy snow as she was leaving the zoo Monday. Kathmann, up from Mankato, Minn., for the weekend, spent an extra day in Duluth because of the storm.
