University of Minnesota Duluth student Jonathan Vlasak (left) leads a group of eighth-graders from Ordean East Middle School on a tour of the campus Friday afternoon. The Duluth school district’s Office of Educational Equity partnered with the UMD Campus Social Justice Action Coalition to provide an opportunity for middle-school students who might not otherwise consider attending college to visit the UMD campus. In addition to the tour, students participated in a scavenger hunt and a group performance.
