Ely wildfire

A CL-215 firefighting aircraft drops a load of water on a fire line on the edge of Ely on Thursday, May 17, 2012. The fire is thought to have started after a vehicle drove over a downed power line about a mile south of town. High winds quickly propelled the fire towards the city limits prompting evacuations of the southern areas of the community. (Clint Austin / caustin@duluthnews.com)
