Carl Mack of Hibbing talks about his poor quality of life. Doctors at the Mayo Clinic diagnosed him with Brown-Sequard Syndrome, a paralysis of a side of the body caused by a cutting of the spinal cord, according to his medical records. A former patient of neurosurgeon Stefan Konasiewicz, Mack currently is a patient at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center.
