The Muffler Clinic site is circled in this overhead view of Lake Place and Old Downtown Duluth, taken some years ago. Originally, the circled spot was supposed to be the main entrance to Lake Place and, ultimately, Lakewalk and Canal Park, but instead of developing the property, the city sold the site.
