1918 flu and AIDS pandemics topics of presentation

A presentation on the 1918 flu and the HIV/AIDS pandemics will start at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Depot in Duluth. The 90th anniversary of the flu that killed an estimated 50 million worldwide will be memorialized with a display, speeches and a video in association with World AIDS Day. “The similarities between the two are the scapegoats,” said Maggie Kazel, the event’s organizer.
