Reader's view: Are district meetings merely a PR move?

I agreed with the Jan. 17 Local View column, “District ‘Think Kids’ meetings a chance for real public input.” It is a great idea for Independent School District 709 to ask the opinions of parents and community members. But after recent experiences with the district, you have to wonder: Is this just a public relations move?
