A judge's view: Despite caseload, justice can’t be rushed

It’s the end of the month as I write this, and I’m staring at a pile of docket sheets I used during November. I keep my docket sheets since I write notes on them for every case that appears in front of me. The pile is three inches deep, and it may be the largest pile of dockets I’ve had in a very long time.
