Reader’s view: Close Fond-du-Luth, open casino at Central

With regard to Duluth’s troubles with the Fond-du-Luth Casino, since its owners aren’t living up to their contract with the city, the city and Mayor Don Ness should shut the casino down and open a city-run casino.

With regard to Duluth’s troubles with the Fond-du-Luth Casino, since its owners aren’t living up to their contract with the city, the city and Mayor Don Ness should shut the casino down and open a city-run casino.

The empty Central High School on the hill — centrally located, with lots of parking and a great view — would be plenty big to have a nice restaurant, too. Make a nice, smoke-free facility that all can enjoy.

We know many retired Teamsters who would patronize this facility.
