Four money bags were stolen last week from a Senior Connections work van delivering meals to the elderly in Douglas County.
The money bags were reported missing Tuesday, according to a Superior Police Department report. They were in a van that had apparently been left unlocked while the driver made deliveries throughout Superior and Douglas County, according to the report. Stops included Gordon, Wentworth, Lake Nebagamon and Solon Springs.
It is not known where or when the bags were taken, but Senior Connections staff believed the bags, which contained more than $100 in cash and personal checks, were taken Feb. 21 or 22. The vehicle was not damaged.
