Duluth officials yesterday unveiled plans for a snowmobile trail around the city, with connecting trails into various neighborhoods. The trail system, which is to be completed in the next few years, will be part of a statewide trail network. Thirty-three resolutions came before a special meeting of the Duluth City Council yesterday, prompting some councilors to suggest meeting three times a month instead of two. The council discussed applying to the Charter Commission regarding the change, but no definite action was taken.

Grand Casino in Hinckley is on schedule with construction plans for an expanded recreational vehicle park, lodge, indoor swimming pool, outdoor recreation area and children’s playground — all to be built this year. A 300-room hotel should be finished by 1994. Congressman Jim Oberstar heard from about 45 area residents during a forum on the federal budget yesterday at Duluth’s Marshall School auditorium.
