Freezing rain, difficult driving conditions reported in Northland

Freezing rain this morning has left a glaze of ice on roads and sidewalks in some parts of the Northland, including in the Duluth area.

Freezing rain this morning has left a glaze of ice on roads and sidewalks in some parts of the Northland, including in the Duluth area.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation reports difficult driving conditions across Northeastern Minnesota.

The National Weather Service reports that a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow will be possible in the Twin Ports area and Northwestern Wisconsin through the morning hours.

To the north and west, snow is falling. As much of 4 inches of new snow was reported at International Falls through late Monday.
