Clinic offers help for finding lost pets

The veterinary clinic will post photographs and information about missing pets in the Twin Ports region on its website, PetCareofDuluth.com, and

social media pages as part of a new service to return lost animals home.

“As professionals who work daily with people and their animals, we know there is a special bond between owners and their pets,” said Dr. Amanda Bruce, owner of PetCare of Duluth. “We want to do all we can to get lost animals back home.”

PetCare of Duluth will post information about the lost animal on its site and also on its Facebook

(PetCare of Duluth) and Twitter (@PetCareofDuluth) pages. In addition to a photograph and a description of the missing animal, PetCare of Duluth asks owners to submit contact information so community members can reach the owner if they see or find the pet. “We want all lost animals returned home,” Bruce said. “We work to ensure that animals are healthy.

When we reunite a lost animal with its owner, we’ve performed the best service we can to ensure that pet’s health.”

Bruce opened PetCare of Duluth, 2701 W. Superior Street, Suite 102, in 2012. She said all of the clinic’s services are priced 25 percent to 40 percent lower than traditional veterinarian prices.

The clinic keeps prices affordable by serving only dogs and cats, the most popular pets, and by focusing on basic services, including exams, vaccinations, parasite protection and micro-chipping. Those services represent the overwhelming majority of vet visits for most animals. The clinic provides referrals for pets needing more extensive treatment, such as surgery.
