LUCILLE DIRKS

Lucille Anderson Dirks, 97, passed away Jan. 8, 2013 in Phoenix, Ariz.

She was born on April 24, 1915 in Duluth.

Lucille's life centered around her family, church, and music. She was a church organist and choir director for over 80 years. She also taught piano and organ to young and old. She married Orion Anderson on April 20, 1940. They almost made it to 50 years of marriage before Orion passed away in 1990. They lived in Duluth until 1982 when they moved to Mesa, Ariz.

Five years after Orion's death she married Darrell Dirks, which lasted nine years until Darrell's death.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents Hans and Walborg Fyri Grytting, husbands and brother Homer Grytting.

She is survived by son Ronald J. Anderson (Betty) of Peoria, Ariz.; daughter Barbara L. Anderson (Keith) of Burnet, Texas; granddaughters Pamela Pounds (Paul) and Janet Clinger (Justin) both of Dallas, Texas and three great grandchildren.

SERVICES: were held in Arizona.
