ALFRED JOHNSON

Alfred Johnson, 86, of Net Lake, Nickerson, Minn., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Duluth.

Alfred was a 1944 graduate of Duluth Denfeld High School. He worked for Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern Railroad.

Alfred enjoyed his many tools and carpentry, fishing, music, snowmobiling, gardening, Twins baseball, and cooking. He loved his lake home, sailing, pontooning around Net Lake and the many family gatherings at the lake.

He was preceded in death by his wife Laura and son Tim.

Alfred was a proud and loving father to his surviving children Larry (Paula), Connie (Dale) Gustafson, Claudia Kuklis, and Mick (Jean) Johnson; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, with a visitation at 2 p.m. in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave Duluth. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to be made to the American Cancer Society. Services entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota 624-5200
