An area of light snow moving across the Twin Ports this morning has caused some difficult driving in Duluth, Superior and points south.
The quick burst of snow, which may result in up to an inch of accumulation, should end later this morning.
Emergency scanner traffic indicated several accidents in the area this morning, including along Interstate 35 south of Duluth and U.S. Highway 53 south of Superior.
Streets in downtown Duluth were snow-covered and slippery as of 7:45 a.m. Plows were out on major roads, such as Mesaba Avenue.
The National Weather Service relayed reports of an inch of snow in West Duluth, and 1.2 inches at Sawyer in Carlton County.
