Scott P. “Coach” Bowman, 63 of Duluth, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at Benedictine Health Center surrounded by family and friends.

Scott P. “Coach” Bowman, 63 of Duluth, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at Benedictine Health Center surrounded by family and friends.

Scott was born in Duluth on May 19, 1949 to Floyd and Joyce (Weiler) Bowman.

He graduated from Central High School in 1967 and a short time later enlisted in the U.S. Army. After serving his country honorably he moved back to Duluth and coached football for Kenwood Chester and Duluth Central for many years. He had most currently worked at St. Michael’s School and Church. He was a member of the Owls Club, the All American Club and the American Legion. Scott liked gardening and planting flowers and particularly enjoyed Christmas, camping and spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Scott is survived by his wife Nancy (Bushey); three children, Amber (Lars) Pettersen of Duluth, Kristine (Hal) Saulsbury of Corcoran, Minn., Elizabeth Bowman of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; two brothers, Todd Bowman of Cambridge, Minn., and Corey (Martina) Bowman of Bloomington, Minn.; three nieces; one nephew as well as many other extended family members and friends.

VISITATION: 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 in Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth. Services entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota 218-624-5200
