Melody Lombardi and Jeffrey Mckenna, both of Hermantown, plan to be married April 13 in Black Bear Casino in Carlton.

Her parents are Dareld and Cheryl Lombardi of Duluth. His parents are the late Thomas and Janet Mckenna.

The future bride, a 1990 graduate of Denfeld High School in Duluth, attended McConnell Travel School in Minnea­polis. She is an administrative assistant for The Alaris Group in Duluth.

The future groom, a 1989 graduate of Herman­town High School, attended Lake Superior College in Duluth. He is a manager/driver for Spee Dee Delivery in Duluth.

Twenty-three years later. . .

Jeff and I dated 23 years ago and were reunited in 2010.

He proposed at Grand Superior Lodge in October and to my surprise all of my family and my best friend came walking through the lounge door and joined us for dinner. He got down on one knee and I said ‘Yes!’ Dreams do come true.

Together with four boys and three dogs we are ready to make us one official family.
