St. Louis County Board retirees and longtime employees recognized

Twenty-three St. Louis County employees were recognized Tuesday by the St. Louis County Board of Commissioners, and another 34 recently retired employees also were honored just prior to the start of the board’s regular meeting.
“The show of appreciation was for the employees’ longevity with the county and commitment to customer service,” a press release said. Those being honored include individuals who retired within the last six months, as well as current employees who have recently celebrated 25, 30, 35 and even 40 years of service.
Another 39 employees and recent retirees will be recognized at the Nov. 27 county board meeting, which will be held at Hibbing City Hall.
St. Louis County employs approximately 1,700 people to serve its more than 200,000 residents spread across 7,000 square miles.
