A proposed remodeling and expansion program at the Duluth Zoo was announced yesterday to the Duluth City Council by Zoo Director Basil Norton. Norton said the project could be financed with revenue bonds and be paid off with increased admission fees.Duluth stock brokers are viewing yesterday’s historic closing of the Dow Jones industrial average above 1,000 points as a reflection of confidence and renewed optimism in the wake of the presidential election and efforts to end the conflict in Vietnam.News Tribune, Nov. 15, 1992
For more than 20 years, Allen and Ernest Butler have been breaking the race barrier at the Duluth police and fire departments.
