MY PARENTS ARE: Gary Hedin and Kari Jacobson Hedin of Duluth.

MY SISTER IS: Linnea, 2.

MY GRANDPARENTS ARE: Bonnie Bolstad of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Gary and Ellen Hedin of Little Marais, Minn.

MY GREAT-GRANDPARENTS ARE: Mildred Bolstad of Chaska, Minn., and Ingrid Jacobson of Excelsior, Minn.

MY PARENTS CHOSE THIS NAME BECAUSE: They both liked it and agreed on it. My middle name gives me the initials “JJ” and they thought it would be a fun nickname.

PARENTS’ WISH OR ADVICE: To reach your full potential with all our love and support, and to be a close companion to your sister.

SOMETHING SPECIAL: You made a dramatic entrance three weeks before your due date. Mom was at the grocery store when her water broke. Grandma and Grandpa Hedin drove through the night from their vacation in Canada to be here for your birth.
