Kelly Christie and Eric Thompson, both of Duluth, were married Oct. 29, 2011, in the Holiday Inn in Duluth.
Her parents are Jill Christie of Duluth and Wayne Christie of Litchfield, Minn. His parents are the late Chuck and Connie Thompson.
The bride chose her cousins, Amy O’Brien and Rachel Lambert, as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Andres, Ann Netland, Holly Hill, and Keilly Olsen.
The groom chose Nate Wright as best man. Groomsmen were Joe Radach, Sam Steidl, Brian Andres, Johan Valppu and Aaron DeCook.
The bride, a 2001 graduate of Denfeld High School in Duluth, graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in criminology, and from Capella University this year with a master’s degree in psychology. She is a children’s mental health worker at the Human Development Center in Duluth.
The groom, a 1999 graduate of Jefferson High School in Alexandria, Minn., graduated from St. Cloud (Minn.) State University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in economics, and from Lake Superior College in Duluth with an associate degree in fire science. He is a fire fighter for the Duluth Fire Department.
