Kayla Johnson and Adam Lilyquist, both of Duluth, plan to be married Saturday in Salem Lutheran Church in Hermantown.
Her parents are Dave and Beth Johnson of Hermantown. His parents are Loren and Laura Lilyquist of Hermantown.
The future bride, a 2005 graduate of Hermantown High School, graduated from the College of St. Scholastica with a bachelor’s degree in biology and from Iowa State University in Ames this year with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. She is an associate veterinarian at Dougherty Veterinary Clinic in Duluth.
The future groom, a 2004 graduate of Hermantown High School, graduated from Lake Superior College in 2006 with an associate degree in architectural technology. He is an engineering technician at LHB Inc. in Duluth.
