Bishop, Miller

Penny Bishop of New Orleans and Kevin Miller of St. Louis Park, Minn., were married Oct. 16 at Margaret Gardens Mansion in New Orleans.

Her mother is Levetta Bishop of Shreve­port, La. His parents are Tom and Suzanne Miller of Duluth.

The bride chose Kimberly Nettles as maid of honor. Isla Miller was flower girl.

The groom chose his brother, Jason Miller, as best man.

The bride, a 1992 graduate of Byrd High School, studied at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. She is a business consultant for Planet Beach Contempo Spas.

The groom, a 1996 graduate of Duluth East High School, graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He is an environmental manager for U. S. Compliance.

Lainey Anastasia and Tessa Suzanne Miller

WE WERE BORN: Feb. 9, 2012, in Fairview Hospital in Edina, Minn.

OUR PARENTS ARE: Jason and Patricia Miller of Eden Prairie, Minn.

OUR SISTER IS: Isla, 3.

OUR GRANDPARENTS ARE: Seamus and Patsy Reddy of Kildare, Ireland, and Tom and Suzanne Miller of Duluth.

OUR PARENTS CHOSE THESE NAMES BECAUSE: Our middle names were given to honor our maternal great-grandmother, Anastasia, and our paternal grandmother, Suzanne.

PARENTS’ WISH OR ADVICE: We hope you grow up to be best friends with each other and with your big sister.

SOMETHING SPECIAL: Lainey and Tessa were born one minute apart.

Mackenzie Suzanne Myran

I WAS BORN: March 27, 2012, in Maple Grove (Minn.) Hospital.

MY PARENTS ARE: Julie and Nick Myran of Albertville, Minn.

MY GRANDPARENTS ARE: Tom and Suzanne Miller of Duluth; Rosie Floren of Kenyon, Minn.; and the late Gil Myran.

MY PARENTS CHOSE THIS NAME BECAUSE: They each picked it as their favorite girl name. My middle name is the same as my grandma’s first name and my mom’s middle name.

PARENTS’ WISH OR ADVICE: We hope you’re always kind and caring to others.

SOMETHING SPECIAL: I am the fourth grandchild on my mom’s side and the 13th grandchild on my dad’s side, so I had a lot of family members waiting to meet me!

Miller, Bozyk

Karli Miller of Duluth and Brett Bozyk of Crookston, Minn., plan to be married Sept. 22 in St. Benedict’s Cath­olic Church in Duluth.

Her parents are Suzanne and Tom Miller of Duluth. His parents are Brenda and Rick Bozyk of Crooks­ton.

The future bride, a 2007 graduate of Duluth East High School, graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She is pursuing a master’s degree in school counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

The future groom, a 2006 graduate of Crookston High School, graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth this year with a master’s degree in applied and computational mathematics. He is a mathematics instructor at Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids.
