More money donated for business flood recovery

The Minnesota Power Foundation has contributed $25,000 to support the Business Flood Recovery Fund established by the Northland Foundation.

The Minnesota Power Foundation has contributed $25,000 to support the Business Flood Recovery Fund established by the Northland Foundation.

A total of $175,000 is now available in the fund. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to help flood-affected businesses in all or parts of St. Louis, Douglas, Lake, Carlton and Aitkin counties replace equipment and inventory and to make repairs from flood-related damage.

Applications will be reviewed weekly through Sept. 14. Grant guidelines and application forms are available online at www.northlandfdn.org/Grants. For more information, contact Erik Torch, grant program manager, at (218) 723-4040.

Previous donations include: AgStar Financial Services, $25,000; Blandin Foundation, $25,000; Great River Energy, $25,000; Northland Foundation, $25,000; and McKnight Foundation, $50,000.
