Fourth Fest events will go on as planned this year. The large fireworks extravaganza on Duluth’s waterfront will take place on the Fourth of July. Bayfront Festival Park, Canal Park, Duluth’s downtown area, and major transportation thoroughfares will be open.
“Minnesota’s favorite waterfront destination is open for business as usual. Help spread the word that all of the popular visitor areas and events, along with everything you love about Duluth, will be as good as ever,” said Terry Mattson, president and CEO of Visit Duluth.
Bayfront Festival Park gates open at 4 p.m. and music begins at 5 pm. Headlining this year’s festival is Martin Zeller, who will perform a tribute to Neil Diamond. Special guests Big Wave Dave and the Ripples and the Lake City Smokin’ Section will join Zeller at the festival. The Mighty Thomas Carnival will be open for rides, games and family fun.
The fireworks display, organized by Visit Duluth, will begin at 10:10 pm. A fully synchronized musical program will be broadcast on NU92 FM (92.1).
The Vista Fleet will offer two cruises for the evening: the Star Spangled Dinner & Fireworks Cruise or the Vista Queen’s Elegant Fourth of July Cruise. For more information on the Duluth Fourth Fest, visit www.visitduluth.com/ events/fourthfest.
