A Duluth restaurant will get some pub in Sunday’s New York Times.
A review of Tycoons Alehouse and Eatery, at 132 E. Superior St. in downtown Duluth, that was written by freelancer and Duluth-Superior Magazine restaurant reviewer Robert Lillegard of Superior is set to appear in the newspaper’s Restaurant Report, and is already online.
Lillegard writes that "restaurateurs Rod Raymond and Tim Nelson were careful to combine their $2.3 million restoration of the one-time City Hall, built in 1889, with a healthy dose of cheekiness, combining real-deal elements of Duluth’s affluent past with a down-to-earth attitude."
The early-1900s-themed restaurant opened in late December.
