Augsburg Confession study

French toast breakfast

The St. Stanislaus Kostka Society will serve a French toast breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Jan. 23, at St. Mary Star of the Sea. Other items on the menu: hash browns, sausage, coffee, milk and juice. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Chili cook-off

There will be a chili cook-off from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave. Cost is $7 for adults, $5 ages 6 to 12 and free for anyone younger than that. Attention seniors

Seniors of all ages are invited to a Senior Adults Fellowship gathering that will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Bayside Baptist Church in Superior. A new church has opened up in the Airpark. New Life Lutheran Church is located at 4424 Venture Ave. David Norland is its pastor and mission developer. Thursday prayer group

Salem Covenant Church, 339 N. 59th Ave. W., hosts a prayer group from 9 to 10 a.m. every Thursday. It will continue to meet weekly until there are enough women to start a community Bible study class. Call 626-9133 with any questions.
