Relay for Life fundraiser

Cookies and crafts will be sold from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Forbes Methodist Church in Proctor (33 Grove St.). Proceeds benefit Relay for Life.

Scandinavian bazaar

Bethesda Lutheran Church, 204 Fifth St. in Carlton, will host its “A Touch of Scandinavia” Christmas bazaar from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. Call 384-4501 for details.

Scandinavian buffet

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave., will host a Scandinavian dinner buffet from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for kids (those 4 and younger get in free). Call 624-3648 with questions.

Holiday music

Cindy Beier will perform during “Music Meets Missions: A Night of Holiday Music” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, 1515 W. Superior St.

Lutefisk meal

Elim Lutheran Church, 6101 Cody St., will host its annual lutefisk and meatball dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Cost is $15 for adults and $6 for children. Call 624-2690 for reserved seating.

Gospel service

Christ Lutheran Church, 2415 Ensign St., will host an old-fashioned gospel service at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28. What follows is a free screening of a DVD about Martin Luther and a free meal of hot dogs, Polish sausages and sauerkraut at noon. Call 722-7537 for details.

Cookie sale

Hermantown’s Peace in Christ Lutheran Church, 5007 Maple Grove Road, will hold a holiday cookie sale and breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Dec. 4. Breakfast is $4 ($2 for children) and cookies are $6.50 per pound.

Thursday prayer group
