Organ viewing

First Lutheran Church, 1100 E. Superior St., will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its newly remodeled sanctuary with a festival worship service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Come check out the partially completed pipe organ made by local craftsman Dan Jaeckel.

Evening of gospel

Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, 1515 W. Superior St., will host an evening of “familiar gospel music” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A free-will offering will be taken.

Holiday music

Cindy Beier will perform during “Music Meets Missions: A Night of Holiday Music” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at Duluth Gospel Tabernacle.

Gospel service

Christ Lutheran Church, 2415 Ensign St., will host an old-fashioned gospel service at 9:15 a.m. Nov. 28. What follows is a free screening of a DVD about Martin Luther and a free meal of hot dogs, Polish sausages and sauerkraut at noon. Call 722-7537.

Lutefisk meal

Elim Lutheran Church, 6101 Cody St., will host its annual lutefisk and meatball dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2. Cost is $15 for adults and $6 for children. Call 624-2690 for reserved seating.

Wild game feed

Elim Lutheran Church, 6101 Cody St., will host its seventh annual wild game feed at 6 p.m. Dec. 11. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children. Call 624-2690 for reserved seating.

Sing for CHUM

CHUM’s annual holiday concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at Mitchell Auditorium. If you are interested in singing at the show, call 728-4229. Rehearsals will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22 and Dec. 2 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2501 Woodland Ave.

Give thanks

Grace Lutheran Church, 5454 Miller Trunk Highway, will host an ecumenical Thanksgiving worship service at 7 p.m. Nov. 24. All are welcome. Call 729-9054.

Think Christmas

Bill Bastian and the Highland Quartet will perform Christmas music at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 at United Protestant Church in Morgan Park, 830 88th Ave. W. A free-will offering will be taken. Call 626-2570.

Music of Grace

Grace Lutheran Church, 5454 Miller Trunk Highway, will host a performance by Brad Anderson and friends at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 28. A reception follows the concert. Call 729-9054.

Cookie sale

Peace in Christ Lutheran Church, 5007 Maple Grove Road, will hold a holiday cookie sale and breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Dec. 4. Breakfast is $4 ($2 for children) and cookies are $6.50 per pound.

Lutefisk and meatball dinner

Grace Lutheran Church, 5454 Miller Trunk Highway, will host its annual lutefisk and meatball dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 10. Call 729-9054 for details.

Bayside’s Bountiful Boutique

The Ukraine Mission Team of Bayside Baptist Church (corner of New York and Belknap in Superior) is sponsoring the sixth annual Bountiful Boutique from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20. The group is currently seeking crafters, baker, and direct-sales representatives as vendors for this event. Table rental fee is $25. Thursday prayer group

Salem Covenant Church, 339 N. 59th Ave. W., hosts a prayer group from 9 to 10 a.m. every Thursday. It will continue to meet weekly until there are enough women to start a community Bible study class. Call 626-9133 with any questions.
