Letters to the Editor - Aug. 1, 2010

Cuzzo’s fishing buddy sings high praise

I support Mike Cuzzo for judge in District 6. I have known Mike and fished beside him for 26 years. You get to know the real side of a person when standing in or beside a river for 10 hours, or sitting by a campfire at the end of the day. Mike has a passion for the North Shore, exemplified right out of college by passing up more lucrative opportunities with Minneapolis law firms for one in Duluth. He has fought for the little guy, representing people hurt in workplace accidents for 26 years, and, with more than 150 arbitrations and mediations, shows that both sides of a case trust him. He has been designated a “Super Lawyer” for many, many years, but his stats speak for themselves.

My personal perspective of Mike is a person whose fair-mindedness and love of the law will make him a judge that makes Minnesota proud.

He truly will rule on the facts and the law — whether he likes it or not. There is no candidate with more experience, and that kind of personal and professional integrity is needed on the bench.
