Wildlife biologist and lynx authority Steve Loch of Babbitt believes lynx numbers in Minnesota are coming out of a low and that 2009 may have been the first year of an increasing population. He believes the peak of the lynx population could occur in 2012.
Lynx kittens will be born in about three weeks, he said.
