Evenly matched U.S. and Canadian dollars could pay off for Northland retailers
As the value of the U.S. dollar tumbles and the Canadian dollar continues to ascend, Northland retailers’ hopes for strong holiday sales this year could hinge on neighbors to the north. Last week, the Canadian dollar — nicknamed the loonie for the bird that appears on its face — hit even with the U.S. greenback.
