Congdon Park teacher wins first Goldfine award

Congdon Park Elementary School teacher Debbie Sauer helped develop test standards for the Minnesota Department of Education, was the first teacher in the Duluth school district to be nationally board-certified, and acted as former president for the Arrowhead Reading Council. But little of that matters when she’s standing in front of students. Ask her fifth-graders what makes her a great teacher, and the answer is simple.
